Endorsements

I am honored to have the support of community leaders, educators, current and former elected officials, and leading advocacy organizations.

When I became an administrator in Brunswick County Schools in 2003 one of the first people I met was Sherrill Jolly. I quickly learned that she was the “go to” teacher when the district needed leadership in so many areas. Whether they were looking for an outstanding teacher, and outstanding teacher leader, an outstanding mentor, coach, adviser, presenter, or department chair they always looked to Sherrill Jolly to fill these roles. Now, after giving 30 years of her life to the children and families of Brunswick County’s greatest assets Sherrill is ready to take on a new role. Electing her to the Brunswick County Board of Education will assure that all of those experiences she had as a teacher leader will continue to benefit the students, parents, and educators in Brunswick County. She relates to and values our children, welcomes and embraces input from parents and families and understands and supports our school employees. Brunswick County is fortunate to have an opportunity to bring someone with Sherrill’s experience, expertise, and integrity to our school district. I am excited that she is willing to continue to serve our community and look forward to giving her my vote for Brunswick County Board of Education on November 3rd.

Brunswick County School Administrator (Retired)

It’s with great privilege that I recommend Sherrill Jolly for the Brunswick County School Board. I believe her 30 years of experience in education, 19 at West Brunswick and 11 years at South Brunswick give her a unique perspective of the needs in Brunswick County.

Ms. Jolly was a wonderful role model when she taught my daughter for AP Literature and Composition. She encouraged her to pursue her goals and to use her voice to stand up for what she believed. She was always available to listen and offer advice when needed.

I believe she will be a wonderful addition to the school board because she truly cares for each student.
